How to use ChatGPT as a UX designer

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of AI and especially the endless possibilities of ChatGPT – and for UX purposes it can also provide great value.

As a UX designer, you can use ChatGPT in a number of ways to assist with your work. Here are a few examples:

  1. User research: ChatGPT can be used to generate questions for user research. You can input a prompt and ask ChatGPT to generate a list of questions that you can use to conduct user interviews or surveys. For example, if you’re designing a new e-commerce website, you can ask ChatGPT to generate questions related to online shopping behavior.
  2. Ideation: ChatGPT can be used to generate ideas for new features or products. You can input a prompt and ask ChatGPT to generate a list of ideas based on that prompt. For example, if you’re designing a new social media platform, you can ask ChatGPT to generate ideas for new features that users might find engaging.
  3. Content creation: ChatGPT can be used to generate content for your UX design projects. For example, if you’re designing a website or an app, you can ask ChatGPT to generate sample content for the website or app’s pages.
  4. Prototyping: ChatGPT can be used to generate ideas for prototypes or wireframes. You can input a prompt and ask ChatGPT to generate a list of possible design concepts that you can use to build out a prototype or wireframe.

Overall, ChatGPT can be a useful tool for UX designers looking to generate ideas and insights for their work. It can help you to quickly generate questions, ideas, content, and prototypes, and can provide valuable input and feedback throughout the design process.

Dba.dk is a popular online marketplace in Denmark where individuals and businesses can buy and sell a wide range of products and services. The platform was launched in 1999 and has since become one of the largest and most well-known marketplaces in Denmark.

On Dba.dk, users can browse listings for a variety of goods and services, including cars, electronics, furniture, clothing, real estate, and much more. Sellers can create free listings, and buyers can browse and search for items based on category, location, and price range.

Dba.dk also offers features such as the ability to save searches, create custom alerts for new listings, and contact sellers directly through the platform. In addition to the main marketplace, Dba.dk also has a section for job listings, as well as a section for classified ads.

Faceted search

Faceted search, also known as guided navigation or faceted navigation, is a technique used in information retrieval systems that enables users to refine search results by selecting one or more predefined categories, known as facets.

On DBA we spent a lot of time refining the concepts and improving with dynamic filtering, autocomplete and popular categories

Thomas is one of the best UEX/designer people I ever worked with. As a part of my team he moved dba.dk to a top class user friendly website, navigating between great UEX and monetization. Thomas’s flair for new trends and his coolness for trendy webdesign with usability as a big focus, is unique. Other skills as wireframe, prototyping and being quick to understand the ideas/projects is just a part of his working methods. Thomas is a great team player and I highly recommend Thomas for all kinds of webdesign projects.
